Licensed or Apprentice Optician
The Licensed or Apprentice Optician is primarily responsible for the dispensing, fitting, cleaning and adjusting of eyeglass lenses and frames for clinic patients and walk-in customers and for maintaining the frame & supply inventories for the optical shop. The position requires a thorough understanding of state-of-the-art lens and frame technology, current eyeglass frame trends, exceptional sales ability, understanding of ophthalmic terminology and practice, proper patient care with primary focus on customer satisfaction, use and proper care of medical instrumentation and knowledge of safety hazards/precautions. The ability to professionally communicate with patients, physicians and co-workers is critical. Employee must be capable of taking technical and accurate measurements. Employee must be energetic and willing to assist in all areas of clinic success. Successful candidates will have an outstanding attitude.
Central Arkansas Ophthalmology is a fast-paced, family-friendly eye clinic with three Ophthalmologists and one Optometrist. Some overtime may be required - but NO WEEKENDS are required.
