The Garland County Landfill is accepting applications for the position of Mechanic.
The applicant must have minimum of a high school diploma or general education degree (GED); a minimum of three (3) year’s experience in fleet and/or landfill operations or related experience and general knowledge of heavy and light equipment operations and mechanical systems. The ability to work on heavy diesel equipment and gasoline vehicles is required. The applicant must possess a Commercial Driver’s License and successfully pass pre-employment drug screening. The applicant must be willing to work toward a Class IB and 2B Solid Waste Landfill Operator’s License and obtain the license within two (2) years.
