The mission of the Mid-America Science Museum is to stimulate interest in science, to promote the public understanding of the sciences, and to encourage life-long science education through interactive exhibits and programming.  Situated on 21 beautiful, wooded acres adjacent to the Ouachita National Forest, the museum has been providing innovative STEM programming to students and families of Arkansas and the surrounding states for over 40 years.  The 73,000 square foot facility is located just outside Hot Springs, Arkansas and is comprised of two wings of exhibits connected by an enclosed glass bridge that spans a flowing stream across the property.  The museum underwent a major renovation in 2015, which included the installation of over 90 new exhibits, a digital dome theater, and an outdoor “skywalk.” The outdoor DinoTrek was installed in 2019 and displays 13 individual dinosaurs ready to be discovered in the woods behind the facility.  An addition to the original building was constructed in 2020 and is used for traveling exhibits and a wide variety of educational events.   For more information, please visit
